<p><b>Systems Administrator</b></p><br><p><b>Camp Arifjan, Kuwait</b></p><br><p>The Leidos Sentinel program is looking for a <b>Systems Administrator</b> to support US Army Central Command G2 in <b>Kuwait. </b>The program provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems as well as network administration support for an organization comprised mostly of a Microsoft Enterprise software environment residing on multiple networks.</p><br><p>The Systems Administrator will be part of a dynamic team supporting customers throughout the ARCENT Area of Responsibility including both U.S. and coalition personnel. This is a deployed position located at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.</p><br><p>Duty hours are 12 hours per day, 7 days per week, and are subject to local labor laws. Kuwait Technical College is a proud affiliate of Eastern Michigan University.</p><p>Position Summary ktech invites applications for the position of Associate Professor in Management of Information Systems (MIS). The appointment will be based strictly on academic merit, research productivity, verified teaching experience, and compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements.</p><p>Duties and Academic Responsibilities The appointed faculty member shall:</p><ul><li>Teach undergraduate courses in accordance with approved curricula.</li><li>Supervise student research projects and academic activities</li><li>Provide professional mentorship to students.</li><li>Develop and maintain an independent research agenda with measurable scholarly output.</li><li>Publish in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals indexed in reputable databases.</li><li>Participate in academic committees and institutional governance.</li><li>Contribute to curriculum development and program review processes.</li><li>Support accreditation, quality assurance, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.</li></ul><p>Eligibility and Academic Qualifications Educational Requirements A PhD degree in Management of Information Systems (MIS) The bachelor s and Master s degree may be in Business/IT or a closely related field. All degrees must be awarded by accredited universities and obtained through traditional, on-campus study formats.</p><p>Academic Rank and Experience Requirements Minimum of 4 years of experience in a reputable academic institution at the academic rank of Assistant Professor</p><p>Research and Scholarly Requirements Minimum 8 full-length, high-quality academic papers published in reputable international peer-reviewed journals. Publications must meet recognized academic standards At least three (3) publications within the last five years. The applicant must be first author on a minimum of four (4) publications. <h4>Specific accountabilities:</h4>
<p><strong>Pre-award activities:</strong> Responsible for bid invitation preparation, processing queries from bidders, preparation of bid evaluation programmes, evaluation of bids, negotiation, contract preparation and award formalities.</p>
<p><strong>Post-award activities:</strong> Responsible for conducting kick-off meetings, coordinating all contract submittals and correspondence, preparation and processing of variation orders, claims and close out.</p>
<p>Manages the drafting of invitation to tender packages for contracts for large oil and gas facilities projects. Reviews and, if necessary, proposes comments on and proposes alternative text or clauses to client contract conditions.</p>
<p>Reviews issues with legal, risk management, tax, and accounting personnel as a condition precedent to submitting to management for approval.</p>
<p>Functions as a part of a negotiating team consisting of project management staff, to establish the terms and conditions of a contract.</p>
<p>Monitors and ensures the business provisions of assigned contracts are administered to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions. Keeps the Projects Contracts Manager advised as to the scope, financial, and risk features of applicable contracts.</p>
<p>Ensures documentation to negotiate change orders are properly produced and maintained.</p>
<p>Prepares letters to clients requesting approvals and interpretations necessary to comply with the provisions of the contract.</p>
<p>Ensures project and facility acceptance documents are prepared and are followed through and that acceptances are signed by the client.</p>
<p>Furnishes business and financial information requested by the client concerning the project, as delegated by the Project Manager.</p>
<p>Identifies contractual problems and takes appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory resolution. Follows up on those problems which demand management attention, to ensure timely response to the client; and management of contract quality standards.</p>
<h4>Qualification:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or bachelor degree in science, commerce or law.</li>
<li>IACCM professional certification in 'Contract and Commercial Management Advanced Practitioner' or equivalent is a plus.</li>
</ul>
<h4>Experience:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Extensive knowledge of contractual terms and conditions and commercial contract law.</li>
<li>Excellent understanding and extensive experience of the procurement and contract administration processes and principles from preparation and issue of bidders lists, contracting plans and bid invitation package preparation through to award, administration and close out of contracts.</li>
<li>Strong grasp of procedural requirements and necessity of providing an audit trail for management purposes.</li>
<li>Middle East and Arabian Gulf experience is preferred but not mandatory.</li>
