The Supply Technician II assists with documents pertaining to work orders completed within the MST (Maintenance Support Team) and is responsible for the OMDAC-SWACA calibration program. Provides weekly/monthly maintenance work order reports within the section and performs technical supply management tasks (e.g., inventory management, storage management, maintenance tagging of equipment). Has knowledge of supply operations and program requirements and the ability to apply established supply policies, day-to-day servicing techniques, regulations, and procedures. Program: OMDAC-SWACA This position offers company-paid housing and transportation, a completion bonus and tuition reimbursement program! You must satisfy all host country requirements to legally work in the host country to include but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a host nation visa and host nation driver’s license in order to be qualified for this position. Responsibilities + Manage decentralized and decontrolled inventory, including supplies, and equipment. Items managed typically are of low unit or annual demand value, involve short procurement lead time, are obtained from standard or other readily available sources of supply, and reflect relatively stable patterns of demand. + Reconcile documentation on issues, receipts, storage of supplies and equipment. + Assist the Communication Sites and Signal O&M elements in obtaining items from + alternate sources of supply for difficult to obtain repair parts, components, and assemblies for the Project. + Provide in-storage maintenance for equipment in stock record accounts + Operate PP&C center at the TLSF, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait + Track workflow, production control, and reconcile work orders and provide customers with management reports needed to support their readiness status. + Establish and maintain current consolidated listings of all Shop Stock and Bench Stock items for all maintenance shops both fixed and mobile. + Maintain up-to-date maintenance and supply status on all work requests by shop location. Monitor status and quantity of work in each shop in order to foresee and prevent bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions as necessary. + Screens maintenance request and inspection reports for accuracy. + Request equipment density lists from supported customers or sites to assist in projecting workloads and in developing bench and shop stock requirements. + Provide monthly supply and maintenance readiness reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and to the Government’s identified POC’s. + May be required to provide assistance to and/or be assigned to the SRA (Supply Retail Activity) to meet operational requirements. + Perform other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications + Qualifications + Security Clearance: + Ability to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). + Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance is preferred. + Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + High School diploma or GED required. Responsibilities Job Details / Position Summary The KC-130J Avionics/COM/NAV Technician will troubleshoot and/or repair malfunctions in the aircraft avionics/communication/navigation systems and all other supporting aircraft systems that require avionics skills and knowledge. In the course of assigned duties will apply a thorough knowledge of electrical, avionics, and COM/NAV engineering principles, techniques, and methods necessary to repair and maintain aircraft, applicable equipment, and systems. Possess competent abilities in the use and application of hand tools, power tools, and associated precision measuring equipment used in support of system testing, evaluation, and operation. Possess the ability to read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, diagrams, schematics, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Major Job Activities Description: + Applies and has a thorough working knowledge of COM/NAV and avionics systems to include; aircraft modification procedures and experience with specific avionics systems, e.g., data bus, antennas, software, displays, communications/navigation equipment, systems integration, system/component failure analysis, inspection, repair, and testing of COM/NAV and electrical systems through engineering principles, techniques, and methods in the maintainability of existing KC-130J equipment and systems. + Troubleshoots and/or repairs malfunctions in the aircraft avionics/communication/navigation systems and all other supporting aircraft systems that require avionics skills and knowledge, performing assigned maintenance in compliance with established directives and specified KC-130J maintenance requirement cards (MRC)s and maintenance instruction manuals (MIM)s, to include performing calibration procedures and required functional tests. + Performance abilities include maintenance and serviceability procedures to supported components, to include wiring and wiring connector condition, breaker assemblies, component removal, inspection, reinstallation, and incorporates applicable technical directives and bulletins. + Possess competent abilities in the use and application of hand tools, power tools, and associated precision measuring equipment used in support of system testing, evaluation, and operation, to include complying with established local tool control programs. + Has a strong understanding and ability to interpret maintenance instruction manuals (MIMS) and all associated maintenance publications, orders, and directives and the processes to document such maintenance actions + Read, interpret, and apply manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, diagrams, schematics, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components + Use illustrated parts breakdowns (IPB)s to determine material requirements, research associated part numbers, and order parts to complete maintenance actions. + Has the ability to review, interpret, and apply the assigned maintenance manual procedures in support of assigned maintenance actions. Apply practical knowledge of wiring schematics of aircraft COM/NAV and avionics systems and the interpretation of technical data contained within those schematics and/or sources of maintenance data + Performs periodic special, hourly, conditional, and phase maintenance/isochronal inspections as required by Maintenance Instruction Manuals (MIM)s, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC)s, manufacturer’s specifications, and all applicable directives, orders, and instructions as directed through Maintenance Control. + Removes, troubleshoots, inspects, reinstalls, and/or replaces aircraft COM/NAV and avionics components, radios, antennas, electrical wiring, and all other associated electronic components that support the operation and use of the aircraft systems/capabilities as directed by approved maintenance manuals/procedures and/or Maintenance Control + Interpret MIMs and all associated maintenance publications, orders, and directives to perform maintenance and use processes to document such maintenance actions, ensuring the accurate entry of data into the locally used computer database system. + Performs applicable “O” and “I” level battery maintenance functions as required per applicable maintenance manuals. + Performs required tasks associated with EKMS as directed by Kuwait Air Force and NAVAIR + Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions, to include cross-training in all required essential technical specialties, to facilitate the removal, inspection, repair/replacement, installation, and test procedures of aircraft component parts, survival equipment (life rafts, first aid kits, etc..), pneumatic systems, environmental control systems, fuel systems, avionics systems, and all associated aviation life support equipment, airframes, and power plants systems. + Inspect, control, and prevent corrosion of aircraft metals and system components using established and approved procedures. + Checkout and operate all necessary support equipment for flight line maintenance of established maintenance procedures + Conducts off station maintenance when required. + When necessary, perform other duties and functions critical to the support of the program. Qualifications Education / Certifications: + High School Diploma + Must be able to obtain/maintain the following required certifications/qualifications: - Aviation Gas Free Engineering (AVGFE) certification - Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) run qualification -“I” Level Battery Maintenance certification - Applicable Support Equipment licensing - Electric Shop & Comm Nav (210 & 220) Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification - Electric Shop & Comm Nav (210 & 220) Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) qualification - Corrosion Prevention and Control qualification - Confined Space Entry certification Experience: + Four years’ maintenance experience in the C-130J Avionics/Communications/Navigations specialty preferred.. + Must have a working knowledge of first aid procedures to be used in an emergency. + Must have a strong knowledge base of aviation maintenance programs, processes, and procedures (example: Safety, Tool Control, HAZMAT, inspection programs, administrative requirements, support equipment, calibration/torque programs & procedures). Specific Requirements: + Must be United States (U.S.) citizen , be able to read, write, and understand the English language + Must be able to obtain a United States Passport. If you currently possess a United States Passport it must have at least 24 months of time remaining before expiration. + Must be able to obtain and maintain at a Secret Security Clearance. + Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License. + Must be willing to follow Kuwait Labor Law policies and able to adhere to and comply with all Kuwaiti Labor and Immigration requirements. + Must be willing to administrate, maintain, and manage maintenance programs (ex. Tool Control, HAZMAT, FOD, MetCal, etc…) as required by local policies. + Must be willing and able to comply with all program functional requirements to include but not limited to: The performance of “I” Level maintenance functions in support of In-Flight Refueling Reel/system maintenance, NLG & MLG Tire re-building, MLG Brake repair/rebuilding, Battery maintenance support, and Oxygen Regulator testing/repair. + Must be willing and able to deploy off-site as required to support Kuwait Air Force operations. + Must be willing to work flexible hours, to include day shift, night shift or weekend duty and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team as required. + Must have the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and follow instructions when directed on assigned tasks. + Must have skills and aptitude to cross train and/or support other maintenance technicians in completing assigned maintenance actions, to include but not limited to: The performance and completion of daily inspections (including the ability to inspect/sign off on all associated aircraft maintenance/technician specialties), marshalling/recovering aircraft, fueling, towing, mooring, and conducting post flight procedures to ensure aircraft are properly secured upon completion of maintenance. + As a Subject Matter Expert, must be willing to perform in-depth research, troubleshoot, and perform “O” and “I” level maintenance functions on all applicable aircraft systems and components necessary to return aircraft to a Full Mission Capable status; this includes determining material requirements, researching part numbers, ordering, tracking, and receiving materials as required to facilitate aircraft inspections/repairs. + Must be able to communicate directly with the customer, pilots, air crew members, management, and maintenance personnel to gather and relay pertinent data/information necessary to ensure aircraft depart timely and launches are not delayed. + Must have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications—read, interpret, follow and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts and technical publications. + Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations. + Must be able to overcome cultural differences and to think outside the box, innovate, and provide solutions to the many complex problems and obstacles associated with international contracting and desert climate operations. + Must perform as a team member, contributing to the success of the C-130J maintenance department. + Must be dependable and timely in managing assigned tasks, perform consistent quality maintenance. + Must have a proven ability to work independently with minimal direction.
