Uses technical data to troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and repairs or replaces faulty components.</p><p>Operationally checks repaired or modified systems for proper operation.</p><p>Repair and replace aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and associated equipment.</p><p>Read and interpret manufacturers and maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.</p><p>Examine engines for oil leaks and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions. Position Overview: The Electrical Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all electrical maintenance activities for a fleet of onshore drilling rigs and associated equipment. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Management: Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and corrective electrical maintenance programs for land drilling rigs. Ensure maximum reliability and availability of drilling electrical systems and associated equipment. Plan and supervise major electrical overhauls, rig upgrades, and refurbishment projects. Review equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives. Monitor equipment failures and perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) to eliminate recurring issues. Ensure maintenance activities comply with OEM recommendations and industry best practices. Fleet Support: Provide technical support to multiple onshore drilling rigs. Coordinate troubleshooting of complex electrical failures affecting drilling operations. Monitor rig electrical KPIs including equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance compliance. Conduct periodic inspections and audits of rig electrical systems. Standardize maintenance procedures across the drilling fleet. Equipments: Responsible for electrical maintenance of: SCR and AC/VFD drilling rigs, Rig power generation systems, Diesel generators, Motor Control Centers (MCC), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) systems, Top Drive electrical systems, Drawworks electrical systems, Mud pump electrical systems, Rotary equipment, Air compressors, Lighting systems, Rig camp electrical distribution systems, High and low voltage distribution systems, UPS systems, PLC and control systems, Instrumentation interfaces, Emergency shutdown systems, Rig communication systems, Electrical protection systems. Planning & Asset Management: Develop annual electrical maintenance plans and budgets. Manage spare parts inventory and critical electrical components. Coordinate procurement of electrical materials and services. Optimize maintenance costs while maintaining equipment reliability. Maintain accurate maintenance records using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise Electrical Superintendents, Electrical Supervisors, Electrical Engineers, and field electricians. Allocate manpower effectively across multiple drilling rigs. Conduct performance evaluations and competency assessments. Identify training needs and develop technical competency programs. HSE & Compliance: Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and client requirements. Promote a strong electrical safety culture. Ensure compliance with: Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) Electrical isolation procedures Permit to Work (PTW) Hazard identification and risk assessment Safe electrical work practices Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Support rig commissioning, acceptance testing, and startup activities.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Professional certifications in electrical engineering or maintenance management are advantageous. Experience of 8+ years of electrical maintenance experience in the oil and gas drilling industry with minimum 5 years in a managerial or superintendent-level position. Candidates from Canada, United States, Europe, Eastern Europe, Australia, China are preferred. Experience managing electrical maintenance across multiple drilling rigs. Strong knowledge of AC and SCR drilling rig electrical systems. Experience working in GCC/Middle East drilling operations is highly desirable.</p><p></p></section>
<p>Familiar with and knowledgeable in Permit to Work (PTW) systems applicable to Oil & Gas operations. Responsible for overseeing and executing all field instrumentation activities (Fire Alarm, Gas Detection, and Fire Suppression Systems and Load shifting), including installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning during the construction phase. Verify that all activities are carried out in compliance with IFC drawings, approved method statements, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs). Supervise instrumentation works such as cable pulling, cable termination, tubing installation, junction box installation, and panel wiring activities. Coordinate and assign daily work activities to subcontractors and submit daily progress reports to the Engineer. Ensure the safe installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems, including field devices, control panels, junction boxes, and cabling, in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications. Ensure proper segregation and routing of signal, control, and power cables during installation. Witness and support functional testing, loop checking, and pre-commissioning activities in coordination with QA/QC and commissioning teams. Assist in the preparation, tracking, and closure of punch list items arising from inspections, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities. Maintain red-line mark-up drawings and support the design team during as-built documentation, loop folders, and handover dossiers. Coordinate closely with electrical, mechanical, and process disciplines to ensure smooth execution of multidisciplinary activities. Work in collaboration with the commissioning team to plan and execute system energization and loop testing activities. Ability to Supervise the load shifting of DCS, ESD. Liaise with client representatives to facilitate inspections, obtain approvals, and provide progress updates.</p>
