Review and interpret Welding Procedure</span></div><div><span >Specifications (WPS), P&amp;ID drawings, and applicable codes (AWS, ASME, API 1104).</span></div><div><span >Monitor welding operations on pipelines, pressure vessels, and offshore structures for compliance.</span></div><div><span >Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports for QA/QC records.</span></div><div><span >Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and company policies.</span></div><div><span >Qualifications</span></div><div><span >Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.</span></div><div><span >Certifications: AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or equivalent.</span></div><div><span >NDT Level II certifications (UT, MT, PT) preferred.</span></div><div><span >Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection within Oil &amp; Gas projects.</span></div><div><span >Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and industry codes</span></div><div><span >(ASME Section IX, API 1104). <h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Welding Inspection &amp; Quality Control</b></p><ul><li>Perform visual inspection, fit-up checks, and dimensional verification before, during, and after welding.</li><li>Conduct welder qualification tests and monitor welding procedures (WPS/PQR).</li><li>Verify welding consumables, preheat, and post-weld heat treatment as per specifications.</li></ul><p><b>NDT Coordination &amp; Documentation</b></p><ul><li>Coordinate and witness Non-Destructive Testing (RT, UT, MPI, DPI).</li><li>Review NDT reports and ensure acceptance criteria are met.</li><li>Maintain daily welding inspection logs and records.</li></ul><p><b>Compliance &amp; Reporting</b></p><ul><li>Ensure all welding works comply with API 1104, ASME, and KOC standards.</li><li>Identify non-conformances and issue NCRs with recommended corrective actions.</li><li>Prepare weekly welding inspection reports and handover documentation.</li></ul><p><b>Team Coordination</b></p><ul><li>Attend daily/weekly meetings with construction and QC teams.</li><li>Provide technical guidance to welders and supervisors.</li><li>Support client inspections and third-party verifications.</li></ul><p><br></p> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2> <div data-jb-field="skills"><p><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience</b></p><ul><li>Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Minimum 6 years experience as Welding Inspector in Oil &amp; Gas pipeline projects.</li><li>Valid certifications: CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or AWS CWI (mandatory).</li><li>Knowledge of pipeline welding and NDT techniques.</li></ul><p><br></p></div>
