Demonstrates advanced knowledge of colloidal and general chemistry, volume and hydraulics calculations and routine and specialized testing to varied field experiences. Provides guidance, including facilitating formal training, to fluid service representatives on company products and services, how drilling fluid technology can optimize service quality, industry knowledge, rig schedules, and rig operations. Conducts and interprets routine and specialized testing that provide technical guidance of Baroid's customized engineering fluids to maximize wellbore value. Tracks material usage and maintains record of same for inventory and billing purposes. Maintains good working relationship with operator's representative and rig personnel. Assists the operator's representative in specific operations planning and drilling operation optimization. Assists the Baroid Technical Professional and Operations staff in well planning and business delivery activities. Reviews well recaps for accuracy and capture of lessons learned. Takes an active role in mentoring Field Service Representatives. Complies with health, safety and environment regulations in all aspects of job performance.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Minimum requirements are a H.S. Diploma, completed mud training at Halliburton and 10 years in fluid services. Completion of an undergraduate degree in any discipline is preferred. Mud Training Required. Math Test Required.</p><p>Minimum educational degree in Engineering / Technology / graduate in Science with Chemistry one of the subject. Minimum experience of ten (10) years for providing drilling fluid engineering services including drilling of at least five (5) oil &amp; gas wells with measured depth above 16,000 ft and / or mud weight 18 ppg &amp; above Should have obtained adequate training or exposure in handling H2S influx situations and should have valid H2S certificate at all times during the performance of Services at the Well Site.</p><p></p></section>

<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>The Assistant Well Site Leader is responsible for providing clear leadership in every aspect of HSE protection, ensuring safe working practices are used. They assist the Well Site Leader in conducting well operations safely, in accordance with the approved well operations program, and in compliance with the applicable policies/standards/procedures and regulatory requirements within the allocated time/cost with optimal use of resources. They develop required training and on-the-job exposure to develop the skills needed to become a Well Site Leader. Organize and lead brief and debrief safety and operations meetings that are related to well operations. Lead daily planning meetings and discuss operations with customer representatives, contractors, PL and third-party supervisors. Attend daily planning call with supervisors from various parties. Update forecast and planned activity to anticipate resource requirements to meet well demands and provide optimum efficiency of services. Check that equipment and services comply with the contract. Manage proper inventory of tangibles such as, but not limited to, cement, barite, bits, as well as rental equipment, and coordinate with PL OP and third-party suppliers as needed. Prepare and ensure material and equipment requests are issued in a timely manner to avoid disruption of operation. Ensure that operations are conducted to prevent the risk of well control, stuck pipe, and any other project and operational risks. Prepare detailed procedures for specific operations (i.e., running casing, cementing, etc.), including technical and operational calculations as relevant to the well- or rig-site operations (e.g., casing volume.) Ensure compliance with Schlumberger policies and Integration PL standards, including standing orders. Manage and monitor operations communications to ensure stakeholders are kept informed and service providers possess information they need to perform their services. Prepare daily cost estimates based on goods consumed and services provided. Participate in operational performance improvements and program changes with the project team. Review operational problems and support job incidents, changes, incident response and recovery, including coordination with the individual PLs and key contractors.
