Role Objective
The CEO - Flytern shall be responsible for delivering excellent sales and service results with the support and direction from the Executive Chairman. The role focuses upon maximizing the sales from the initial sales enquiries, and to actively seek to generate new leads where incoming leads are insufficient. The role involves implementing and executing all sales action plans and facilitating the overall growth of Flytern.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Strategic
- Develop strategic initiatives to drive product and service revenues for the Flytern business.
- Ensure support and assistance to the commercial team to achieve all departmental sales goals related to Flytern promoting the Flytern product.
- Develop and implement specific marketing plans for Flytern in coordination with the Product Manager and implement it with the support of corporate communications department.
- Achieve monthly and annual revenue and direct sales goals including outside sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections etc. as per the initial business plan.
- Develop creative programs to ensure maximum reservations and client satisfaction for B2B and B2C accounts.
- Participate in industry related events, organizations, and local community to develop business and create revenue for Flytern.
- Establish regular communication with product marketing, customer engagement and corporate communications teams to provide feedback to Og management regarding travel sales trends, identification of opportunities and proposing effective action plans.
- Utilize hospitality and travel industry knowledge and expertise to solicit and secure business on behalf of Flytern.
- Ensure the rates committed are competitive and offer highest yield for Flytern to ensure maximum profitability. This includes annual rate negotiations for renewal of existing accounts and continuous acquisition of new accounts and group business in all terms.
- Negotiate and monitor the current and future account agreements and coordinate with the Product Manager for managing the contracts to ensure maximum profitability.
- Operational
- Solidify and maintain relationships with existing and future accounts through regular sales visits, client meetings, agency/office site visits and repeated follow-ups.
- Maintain regular communication with all special corporate/preferred corporate accounts and send quarterly reports to all clients.
- Collaborate with corporate communications department to develop and facilitate marketing, public relations, and media projects, applicable to the B2B, B2C and other market segments to maximize revenue.
- Collaborate closely with the concerned parties for pre-sales consulting and product management to stay keen and be aware of the pending innovations and new product knowledge.
- Work closely with finance on various business models in preparing financial proposals.
- Implement and execute all sales objectives and action plans to reach and/or exceed the set targets.
- Manage the organization of sales campaigns, product presentation schedules/materials, and participate in key events related to travel industry that are relevant for Flytern.
- Secure handover to delivery of all contracted engagements and oversee a smooth transition of new customer to account management soon after successful implementation of Global Distribution System products.
- Establish parameters and quotes and negotiate travel trade contracts with operators or agents for Og group travel business.
- Establish and maintain files of major accounts and assist in maintaining the accounts management system.
- People
- Coordinate with HC department to hire and build the Flytern sales team and work with the sales team to develop programs and offerings to promote our business.
- Provide sales training and constant support to team members and ensure their product knowledge is continually up to date.
- Respond to client requests related to sales on a daily basis and assure that Flytern sales and services meet then client's requirements.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in travel and tourism, business management, marketing, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years experience in management of hospitality, tourism, sales, operations, in travel or hotel or tourism industry or any related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience leading a team or managing employees.
- Knowledge of travel and hospitality, and other related tourism industries required.
