Position: Linguistic Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $40 - $95/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

Transcribe video content accurately with detailed timestamping. Analyze and describe speaker tone, intent, and emotional delivery. Evaluate grammatical structures, syntax, and overall language usage. Define and explain nuanced vocabulary and contextual meanings. Perform advanced linguistic assessments including tone, register, and context. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and quality of outputs. Maintain high standards in written and verbal communication across tasks.

Requirements

Native-level proficiency in English with strong written and verbal abilities. Strong experience in transcription, linguistic annotation, or language-focused roles. Deep understanding of linguistic theory, grammar, and language analysis. Strong attention to detail in transcribing and annotating audio-visual content. Ability to capture speaker tone, emotion, and grammatical nuances accurately. Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines consistently. Ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment.
