Job Details

Job Role:

Lead and supervise workshop operations to ensure efficient maintenance, repair, and servicing of vehicles and equipment in compliance with company standards, HSE requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of mechanics, auto electricians, mill maintenance, welding & fabrication staff, and helpers to ensure high productivity and quality
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures on vehicles and equipment
  • Supervise all workshop activities with hands-on involvement in technical matters
  • Manage and monitor Preventive Maintenance System (PMS), assigning tasks to relevant teams
  • Ensure warranty processes are properly followed, tracked, and documented
  • Prepare and ensure readiness of vehicles/equipment for government and client inspections within deadlines
  • Monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion of all jobs
  • Review spare parts inventory and coordinate with stores and procurement for replenishment
  • Forecast and arrange spare parts requirements for ongoing and upcoming jobs
  • Provide technical support to field operations to ensure reliability and service continuity
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of maintenance activities

People Management & Compliance:

  • Identify training needs and provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training to team members
  • Participate in interviewing and technical assessment of candidates
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and HSE standards
  • Implement and monitor HSE practices within the workshop
  • Attend and contribute to weekly departmental meetings

  • Strong technical expertise in vehicle/equipment maintenance and diagnostics

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in workshop supervision (Oil & Gas preferred)
  • Experience in fleet/equipment maintenance and repair operations
  • HSE or relevant technical certifications preferred
