Role Purpose

Lead and manage all civil construction activities for major Reverse Osmosis (RO) water desalination and associated power/utility projects in Kuwait, ensuring delivery in accordance with engineering design, project specifications, HSE requirements, quality standards, and client expectations (Ministries, TAQA, MEW, KAPP, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Delivery & Site Management

• Oversee day‑to‑day civil construction for RO desalination plants, including intake/outfall structures, pump stations, reservoirs, foundations, buildings, pipe racks, and utility corridors.
• Supervise civil works for power island buildings, MV/LV substations, control rooms, chemical storage, and water treatment structures.
• Ensure works progress according to approved project schedule, prepare corrective plans, and mitigate delays.
• Lead and coordinate all subcontractors, manpower, and site resources to meet production and quality targets.

2. Technical & Engineering Coordination

• Review IFC drawings, method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals for compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Process (RO), and Marine teams to manage all interface points.
• Resolve site technical issues promptly and escalate critical design queries to engineering.
• Ensure proper implementation of civil–MEP–process integration, including foundations for RO skids, DAF units, media filters, high‑pressure pumps, and pipe supports.

3. HSE, Quality & Compliance

• Enforce project HSE standards, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure safe execution of all site activities.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait codes, local authority regulations, quality benchmarks, and EPC contract requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, QA/QC monitoring, and material quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with environmental requirements, especially for marine intake/outfall works.

4. Planning, Reporting & Documentation

• Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports, KPIs, S‑curves, and dashboards.
• Support planning team with look‑ahead schedules, resource planning, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure accurate documentation for civil completion, inspections, testing, and commissioning.

5. Stakeholder & Client Management

• Maintain strong communication with the Client, Consultant, PMC, and regulatory authorities.
• Attend progress meetings, prepare status updates, and support contractual compliance.
• Ensure timely closure of NCRs, RFIs, site instructions, and change requests.

Skills

ualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 10–15+ years of experience in civil construction, with at least 5 years in RO desalination or major water projects.
• Strong experience delivering projects under EPC contracts, preferably in Kuwait or GCC.
• Hands‑on exposure to:
• RO desalination plants
• Water reservoirs & storage tanks
• Intake/outfall marine structures
• Pumping stations and utility infrastructure
• Power plant civil works (CCGT preferred)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
