Job Title: Adjunct Computer Science Faculty

Classification: Faculty (Institutional Support)

Reports To: Dean, School of Engineering and Computing

Job Purpose:

American International University (AIU) invites applications for qualified Computer Science faculty to join its adjunct teaching pool and be considered for part-time teaching opportunities. Adjunct pool members may be contacted to teach introductory, general education, or selected major courses depending on departmental needs and individual qualifications. Adjunct Faculty contribute to AIU’s mission by teaching undergraduate courses and mentoring students in a collaborative and innovative learning environment.

Position Overview

Adjunct faculty members will be responsible for teaching courses in their respective disciplines, assisting with course development, and contributing to the academic growth of AIU’s students. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted when opportunities that match their qualifications and expertise become available.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.


• Proficient communication skills in English.


• University teaching experience in the subject matter.


• Relevant industry or professional experience in the teaching field.


• Commitment to excellence in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 2 courses (6 credit hours).


• Provide mentorship and academic advising to students.


• Collaborate with faculty in curriculum development.


• Actively contribute to the intellectual and academic growth of AIU’s engineering community.
