Supports the design, configuration, testing and commissioning of DCS-based process automation systems, with a focus on field instrumentation and control loops in industrial processes. The candidate should be proficient in programming controllers, configuring HMIs, and integrating field instruments.
Assisting Senior Engineers with project execution, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities to ensure reliable and efficient plant operation is also part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Configuration, programming and modification of DCS / PLC systems for process applications.
- Support field instrumentation activities including selection, installation, calibration and loop checking of transmitters, control valves and analyzers.
- Participate in FAT, SAT and commissioning of automation systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of control systems, communication networks and instrumentation faults.
- Prepare and update documentation such as IO lists, wiring diagrams, logic descriptions and test reports.
- Coordinate with process, electrical and mechanical teams to resolve site issues and implement modifications.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of DCS / PLC architecture, SCADA/HMI and industrial communication protocols.
- Hands-on exposure to process instruments (pressure, flow, level, temperature), control valves and signal conditioning.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, hook-up drawings and loop diagrams.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills with a willingness to work at the site.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics
or Diploma in Instrumentation with OEM certification
- 2–3 years of experience in DCS / PLC-based automation and process instrumentation in industrial or utility plants.
