To lead and grow the Trading Department by developing and executing effective sales and marketing strategies that increase market share and revenues. The role is responsible for managing OEM product portfolios, key accounts, agency relationships, and driving sustainable business growth in the Kuwait market in line with approved business plans.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Business Planning & Growth
- Develop and execute the annual trading business plan, sales strategy, and budget.
- Identify growth opportunities through market expansion, new segments, and portfolio diversification.
- Define and implement market entry and penetration strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer dynamics to support strategic decision-making.
Brand Development & OEM / Agency Management
- Identify and evaluate new OEM brands and product lines suitable for the Kuwait market.
- Lead commercial evaluations, feasibility studies, and due diligence for new agencies.
- Negotiate and manage agency, distribution, and representation agreements.
- Act as the business owner for represented brands, ensuring performance against agreed targets.
Sales & Key Account Management
- Lead all B2B sales activities across major accounts and local markets.
- Develop and maintain strong long-term relationships with key customers.
- Approve pricing strategies, commercial terms, tenders, and proposals.
- Oversee RFPs, quotations, and contract negotiations.
Marketing & Market Intelligence
- Oversee market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback initiatives.
- Ensure execution of approved marketing and promotional activities.
- Translate market intelligence into actionable commercial strategies.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Recruit, lead, coach, and develop the trading sales team.
- Set KPIs, targets, and performance expectations; conduct regular reviews.
- Foster a high-performance, ethical, and customer-focused culture.
Reporting, Governance & Compliance
- Establish sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting systems.
- Provide timely performance reports to senior management and OEM principals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and QHSE requirements.
- Identify business risks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
