Planning, monitoring of work, training staff and solving production related problems, assure the smooth functioning of the department and quality products manufactured function properly free of defects.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. To accomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
2. To maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
3. To coordinate with the feeder shops and supporting dept to archive the given targets.
4. Solving problems encounter during production process if related to design involve design dept.
5. To coordinate with design dept for the implementation of new develop units and related drawings.
6. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
7. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
8. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
9. Reporting all production related design and QC issues to production asst manage
.
10. To provide timely feedback and review, and ensuring all performance issues are dealt with in a constructive and prompt manner.
11. To provide safety instructions to his team and workers and ensure that they follow safety rules and regulations. Accountable and responsible for HSE performance in his dedicated area.
12. To ensure that all Safety PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) are provided to his team and workers and they wear these PPE during doing their work in the site.
13. To liaise with warehousing, quality assurance, bulk-packaging and other relevant parties to ensure prompt shipment of product.
14. To perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- Bachelor of Engineering and/or Diploma with minimum 10 years of experience.
- Previous experience of people-management and demonstrated ability in people motivation, organizing and team building would be a distinct advantage.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Knowledge in dealing with different types of hazards (machines: heavy parts, sharps components, electrical hazards).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Initiative and leadership skills and the ability to gain the trust, commitment and co-operation of others.
