Responsible for the maintenance, inspection, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of diesel generator and portable diesel air compressors and associated rental equipment.

• Performs maintenance of rental equipment as per recommended schedules & guidelines.
• Performs OHI/ PDI as per guidelines as & when required.
• Washes/cleans Air Compressors / Genset / panel/ fuel tank & other associated items & prepares them for delivery as & when required.
• Removes/ fills diesel in base/ bulk tank as & when required.
• Performs cable termination, connections on Gensets/ DB & hoses in Air compressors.
• Performs all trouble shootings & major/minor repairs on rental Gensets/ Compressors/ DW pumps & other associated items.
• Installs & commissions rental equipment & associated items at site.
• Performs site operation duty as & when required.
• Maintains separate records/history cards of all maintenance work done on rental equipment.
• Observes & informs of any misuse/ mishandling of rental equipment by customer.
• Inspects and reports for any damages / missing items from off hired rental equipment when brought back to storage facility.    
• Assists operation mechanics in plant operational work.
• Assists office staff with rental equipment, documentation and other related activities.
• Ensures that rental service vehicles are properly maintained, if provided so.
• Performs related tasks as may be required.
• Observes cleanliness, orderliness and safety rules/ practices in work area.
• Observes good relationship with his co-workers, supervisors and customers. 

Skills

• Must have a Diploma/ ITI in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years’ experience of maintenance, installation, commissioning & trouble shooting of power generating equipment, preferably on CAT products.
• Must have good mechanical / electrical/ analytical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work under pressure and withstand deadlines.
• Ability to bear extreme climatic conditions
