responsible for testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and validating all instrumentation and control systems during project commissioning phases to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant plant operation. This role works closely with engineering, construction, operations, and vendor teams to bring industrial facilities into full operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning & Testing

• Perform commissioning of I&C systems, including sensors, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and SIS.
• Execute functional tests such as loop checks, logic checks, cause & effect tests, FAT/SAT, and performance tests.
• Review and validate control logic, interlocks, alarm settings, and system configurations.
• Prepare commissioning procedures, test packages, method statements, and commissioning documentation.

Instrumentation & Control Support

• Calibrate instruments according to international standards (ISA, IEC, etc.).
• Ensure proper installation, wiring, and termination of field instruments.
• Configure and troubleshoot PLCs/DCS controllers, HMI screens, and communication networks.
• Verify integration between subsystems (fire & gas, ESD, BMS, package controls, etc.).

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve I&C technical issues during pre-commissioning and startup.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and other safety reviews.
• Record punch list items, follow up on closure, and ensure quality workmanship.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare commissioning reports, calibration sheets, testing records, red‑line markups, and handover documentation.
• Maintain accurate progress updates and participate in regular coordination meetings.
• Support as-built drawings and O&M manual preparation.

Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with vendors and OEMs during installation, configuration, and commissioning stages.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and process teams to ensure smooth startup.
• Provide technical support to operations teams after handover.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Instrumentation, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8–15 years of I&C commissioning experience in sectors such as:
• Combined Cycle Power Plant
• HRSG commissioning
• Steam Turbine commissioning
• BOP systems
• Startup / pre-commissioning
• Power plant utilities

✔ Were involved in pre-commissioning, commissioning & startup

✔ Have experience with HRSG + Steam Turbine side, not only Gas Turbine

✔ Worked on utility systems (BOP)
