We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Central Laundry Operator to join our team in Kuwait City.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversee the daily operation of the central laundry, including sorting, loading, washing, drying, pressing, folding, and inventory management of linens and uniforms.
• Monitor machine performance, temperatures, chemical usage, and cycle times to ensure optimal cleaning results and cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of washed items, loads per shift, and maintenance requirements; prepare daily production reports.
• Ensure adherence to sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Operate and troubleshoot laundry equipment; coordinate with maintenance for repairs and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Receive, inspect, and sort incoming linen and textiles; manage segregation of damaged or out-of-service items.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments to meet daily demand and special event requirements.
• Train and supervise junior staff or casual workers, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain organized and clean work areas, including washing area, drying rooms, and chemical storage areas.
• Maintain inventory of detergents, cleaning agents, and supplies; place orders as needed in collaboration with the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in industrial laundry operations are a plus.
• 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a centralized laundry or large-scale textile operation.
• Proficiency in operating industrial washing, drying, and ironing equipment; basic mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards applicable to textiles and hospitality environments.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, safety data sheets, and standard operating procedures.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to work independently when required.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive motions.
