We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stock Yard Supervisor to join our team in Al Babtain Automotive In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our stock yard, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. Supervise and maintain stock yard well organized for receiving vehicles upon to shipment arrival and keep stock vehicles at good conditions till request for movement. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining safety standards, optimizing processes, and ensuring that our stock yard meets the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain stockyard well organized to receive vehicles upon to shipment arrival.
- Work closely with vehicles movement controller to ensure receiving vehicles at good and safety conditions.
- Check the received vehicles for not being damaged or got any accidents while transporting, coordinate with stock controller for other process.
- Review and ensure records and reports of shipments, price lists, shortages and expenditures are correct.
- Coordinate with stock controller for vehicles movement in and out storage area.
- Ensure of routine technical check of stocked vehicles till moving out based on sales inquiries, coordinate with direct manager for damaged parts, change or replacement.
- Train and mentor stock yard staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of the stock yard to identify areas for improvement and ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and manage stock levels effectively.
- Address any issues or discrepancies related to inventory or staff performance in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local regulations.
Preferred Candidate:
- Proven experience in stock yard management or a similar supervisory role in the logistics or construction industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in inventory management.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and other departments.
- Problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges and improve processes.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards in all operations.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
