Automotive Sales Trainer

Job Purpose: Responsible for collaborating with the sales staff and identify issues the employees are facing. Will also be responsible for maximizing effectiveness through the training programs. Will include creating the learning material, monitoring performance after each session and making recommendations for improvements. 


Accountabilities:


  • Support in product training and performance evaluation within assigned dealerships. 
  • Conduct special training assignments and facilitate large group meetings as required. 
  • Conduct launch training events as required. 
  • Assist in all Sales Contest preparations. 
  • Prepares new sales representatives by conducting orientation to sales process, develops individual coaching plans, provides resources and assistance, and schedules orientation drive-along with senior representatives. 
  • Conducts exercise sessions for new and current sales employees. 
  • Observes sales encounters and collects feedback, results, and performance data of trainees after sessions. 
  • Coordinate with external trainers and Sales Manager. 
  • Identifies soft skills trainings or skills enhancements by assessing the team's performance on regular basis. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest market trends and demands of a corporate sales environment. 
  • Working with the Sales Training Manager to support and align the task. 


Skills

Qualification & Experience 

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, business administration or a related field. 

 

Certification:  

Train The Trainer is preferred 

 

Experience: 

2-3 years of experience as a sales coach, training specialist, or a similar position. 


Knowledge & Technical Skills 

Knowledge:  

  • Product Knowledge 
  • Computer skills/literacy and proficiency with PowerPoint. 
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive industry. 

Skills:  

  • Strong communication skills 
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills 
  • Organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
