Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Assist in the development of civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading plans, and infrastructure systems.
• Modify and update existing drawings based on revisions from engineers.
• Conduct site visits to gather data, take measurements, and perform inspections.
• Assist in surveying and staking out project sites.
• Collect soil, water, and material samples for testing.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
• Provide support during the construction phase, including monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Conduct quality control checks on materials and construction activities.
• Identify and report any discrepancies or issues to the project manager.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation.
• Maintain project files and records, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Skills

Required Educational Qualifications & Work Experience:

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and tolerate various weather conditions.

Competencies

• 2-3 years of experience in a civil engineering or construction environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Experience with surveying equipment and techniques is a plus.
