Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Assist in the development of civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading plans, and infrastructure systems.
- Modify and update existing drawings based on revisions from engineers.
- Conduct site visits to gather data, take measurements, and perform inspections.
- Assist in surveying and staking out project sites.
- Collect soil, water, and material samples for testing.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
- Provide support during the construction phase, including monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks on materials and construction activities.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues to the project manager.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation.
- Maintain project files and records, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
Required Educational Qualifications & Work Experience:
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and tolerate various weather conditions.

Competencies
- 2-3 years of experience in a civil engineering or construction environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Experience with surveying equipment and techniques is a plus.
