Job description

  • Manage day-to-day body shop operations, including scheduling, workflow, and production control
  • Supervise and lead body shop technicians, painters, estimators, and support staff         
  • Ensure all collision and body repairs meet dealership, OEM, and insurance company standards      
  • Review and approve repair estimates, supplements, and final invoices  
  • Coordinate with insurance adjusters and vendors to ensure timely approvals and parts availability
  • Monitor cycle time, productivity, quality, and profitability of body shop operations      
  •  Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and paint systems     
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment    
  • Handle customer concerns, complaints, and follow-ups to ensure high satisfaction levels      
  • Control costs, manage inventory, and minimize waste and rework    
  • Ensure accurate documentation, billing, and record-keeping
  • Support training, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred)
  • Proficiency in dealership management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • 5+ years of automotive body shop or collision repair experience.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and warehouse workflows
  • Experience using DMS systems
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff
  •  Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment
  •  Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
