Job Purpose

We are hiring an experienced Mud Tester to support drilling operations in Kuwait. The selected candidate will be responsible for testing, monitoring, and maintaining drilling fluid properties to ensure safe and efficient well operations..

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily testing of drilling fluids, including:
• Density (Mud Weight) , Viscosity (Marsh Funnel, Rheology) ,Filtration properties (API Filter Press) , pH, alkalinity, salinity, and sand content
• Monitor and maintain drilling fluid properties as per the drilling program.
• Record, analyze, and report mud test results to the Mud Engineer and Drilling Supervisor.
• Assist in mixing and treatment of drilling fluids based on well conditions.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of lab equipment and chemicals.
• Maintain accurate mud reports and daily logs.
• Follow HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and procedures at all times.
• Support troubleshooting of drilling fluid-related issues on the rig. 

Skills

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Mud Tester or similar role in drilling operations.
• Knowledge of water-based and oil-based mud systems.
• Familiarity with API standards for drilling fluids testing.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting systems).
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)

Candidate Profile (Kuwait-Based Preference)

• Currently residing in Kuwait (preferred for immediate mobilization).
• Experience working with oilfield service companies in the GCC.
• Physically fit and willing to work in rotational shifts (rig environment).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
