IT Helpdesk Secretary

Administrative Support:

  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain records for the IT department.
  • Draft and circulate official IT correspondence, memos, and reports.
  • Act as a liaison between IT staff and other departments.
  • Prepare purchase requests for hardware, software, and services.

Documentation:

  • Maintain documentation for IT policies, procedures, and user guides.
  • Keep inventory and records of IT assets and licenses.

User Account Management:

  • Handle account creation, password resets, and user access issues (on AD)
  • Maintain records of IT equipment and user assignments.

 

Technical Support

  • Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, chat, or in person.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Provide step-by-step technical guidance to users.
  • Log and track user issues in the helpdesk or ticketing system

Remote Support:

  • Provide remote assistance to users working offsite.
  • Configure and troubleshoot VPNs or remote access solutions.

Skills

Soft Skills Required

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows, macOS, operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, and remote desktop tools.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Train end-users on new software and hardware systems
