Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU; www.mbru.ac.ae) is part of the newly established Dubai Academic Health Corporation (DAHC). DAHC seeks to strengthen Dubai as a global leader in health care, medical education, research, and scientific innovation, to enhance the capabilities of Dubai’s healthcare sector. DAHC is managing and operating all Dubai public hospitals, primary healthcare centers, specialized care centers, Dubai Dental Hospital; Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital, MBRU and Al Jalila Research Foundation.
Job Purpose:
The role involves overseeing administrative and office support tasks carried out by the team, ensuring that services meet the required standards for the department. A primary focus of the role is to manage and handle travel bookings, coordinating all travel-related needs for the university.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate travel bookings, including flights, hotels, and transportation, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently and accurately.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external travel booking vendors.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior management and various departments.
- Handle scheduling and logistics for internal and external meetings and events.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation as needed.
- Organize and maintain filing systems, both physical and digital, for easy access and retrieval of documents.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of administrative experience.
- Previous experience in managing travel bookings and logistics.
- Experience providing administrative support at a senior management level.
- Familiarity with office equipment and technology.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic work environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in dealing with last-minute changes or issues related to bookings
