Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field (with equivalency by the Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within the same or related field.
  • Proficient in English and Arabic.


Key Accountabilities:

Performance Management, Promotions & Rewards & Incentives

  • Engage with employees to ensure a seamless and effective execution of the performance management appraisal process, fostering open communication and collaboration to promote continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of performance management systems and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and workplan to enhance employee evaluation.
  • Update employee records with performance management results and contribute to result analysis for development and training needs identification where required.
  • Support in the development of the competency framework and ensure it is in line with the business requirements.
  • Recommend rewards and recognition programs to support in enhancing the employee’s motivation and engagement.
  • Adhere to the performance grievance process, maintaining its integrity and fairness.
  • Collect and assess performance grievances and escalate the grievances to the relevant authority for resolution and/or recommendations.

Compensation Management

  • Ensure the accuracy of employee data in compensation benchmarking studies and provide support, whether conducted internally or by a third party, to assess KFAS's competitiveness in salaries and rewards compared to peer organizations, contributing to talent attraction and retention efforts.
  • Propose adjustments in response to market trends and to maintain internal equity standards.
  • Compile Promotion and Increment Lists for Unit Head - Total Rewards & Performance Review.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to Officers in tasks and activities to ensure that the quality of work meets the expected standard.

Payroll

  • Collect and maintain the required information (contracts, bonuses, merit increases, annual leave, etc.) to ensure availability of all information for the payroll transactions.
  • Process employee compensation and benefits disbursements (payroll, allowances deductions, bonus, end-of-service benefits) in line the contract and remuneration package in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and file payroll records with relevant supporting documents in an adequate manner for easy retrieval, reference, and audit to ensure compliance to Kuwait Labour Law.
  • Perform payroll entries for new joiners and liaise with the insurance company to add them to the health insurance scheme.
  • Extract the data and information with regards to the leaves, vacations, and attendance to update the HR systems and employees’ records and perform deductions where required.
  • Calculate leave entitlements and end-of-service benefits as per the terms and conditions of the Kuwaiti Labour Law and in accordance with the policies and procedures of KFAS.
  • Communicate with the respective directorate and/or section regularly to ensure the accuracy of amounts disbursed.
  • Conduct reconciliation exercises and calculations to ensure that accuracy of amounts disbursed.
