Job Title: Barista

Job Summary: The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and tea beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, has excellent attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Beverages:
- Brew coffee and tea following standard recipes and specifications. Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
- Create specialty drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso-based beverages.
Customer Service:
- Greet customers promptly and courteously.
- Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
Maintain Cleanliness:
- Keep the preparation area clean and organized at all times. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Clean and maintain equipment regularly to ensure proper operation.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and replenish coffee beans, milk, and other supplies as needed. Assist in inventory checks and inform management of low stock levels.
- Receive and store deliveries according to company procedures.
Quality Control:
- Ensure all beverages meet quality standards before packaging.
- Adhere to standardized recipes and adjust as necessary to maintain consistency.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations. Assist in training new baristas as required.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred.
- Experience with coffee preparation and brewing equipment is a plus.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for inventory management.
- Excellent teamwork, customer service and communication skills.
