Role:
· Uninterruptible Power Supply Tech is responsible for the installation, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UPS systems.
· To provide backup power to critical infrastructure to ensure continuous operation during power outages or disturbances.
Design and Implementation:
· Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess power needs.
· Oversee the installation and commissioning of UPS systems.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
· Perform regular maintenance checks on UPS systems to ensure optimal performance.
· Diagnose and resolve issues related to UPS hardware and software.
· Conduct load testing and battery maintenance to ensure system reliability.
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.
Technical Support:
· Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
· Train clients on the operation and maintenance of UPS systems.
· Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to solve complex technical problems.
Compliance and Safety:
· Ensure all UPS installations comply with local, national, and international safety standards.
· Implement safety protocols and conduct risk assessments.
· Stay updated on the latest industry trends, standards, and technologies.
Project Management:
· Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
· Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
· Prepare project reports and documentation for stakeholders.
Skills
· Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering with 8 years in related field.
Or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a 3 year in related field.
· 3-5 years of hand on experience in UPS system installation, and maintenance provides.
· Relevant certifications such as Certified Power Quality Professional (CPQP) or Certified Electrical Engineer (CEE) are a plus.
