Job description

We are looking for a Process Engineer – Chemical Engineer with 2–4 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas upstream projects.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting process engineering and design activities, preparing technical documents and calculations, and coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure project requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform process engineering calculations and technical evaluations.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, Heat & Material Balances, and Process Design Basis.
• Perform equipment sizing and process/ hydraulic calculations.
• Prepare and review equipment datasheets and process specifications.
• Support process design for upstream Oil & Gas facilities.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, and other disciplines.
• Review vendor documents and technical submissions.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID and process safety studies.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and Oil & Gas standards.
• Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.
• Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and technical documentation.

Skills

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of Process Engineering experience.
• Relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably Upstream Projects.
• Good knowledge of process engineering design and Oil & Gas facilities.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, equipment sizing and hydraulic calculations.
• Knowledge of process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS/Aspen Plus is an advantage.
• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary project environment.
• Kuwait/Oil & Gas project experience is preferred.
