We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive International Sourcing Coordinator to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the sourcing and procurement of products from international suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
You will work closely with the design, logistics, and finance teams to support our supply chain operations and drive sourcing strategies that meet business objectives.
- Communicate with Chinese companies and suppliers via email, Alibaba, and WeChat.
- Request quotations, compare prices, and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Follow up on order execution, quality control, and shipping schedules.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with international suppliers and manufacturers.
- Coordinate sourcing activities, including requesting quotations, negotiating terms, and issuing purchase orders.
- Work closely with product design and development teams to source materials and finished goods as per design specifications and cost targets.
- Monitor order progress to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delays or issues with suppliers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global sourcing trends, material costs, and import/export regulations.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and quality standards.
- Support customs clearance processes by preparing and reviewing necessary documentation.
- Track and report key sourcing metrics such as lead times, supplier performance, and cost savings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in international sourcing or procurement, preferably in retail, gifts, or consumer goods sectors.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in MS Office and sourcing/procurement software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping terms (Incoterms), and customs procedures.
- Ability to work across time zones and manage supplier relationships remotely.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in English; prior experience in international trade is an advantage.
