Objective
Serve as a primary HR contact for new employees and interns, focusing on seamless onboarding, fostering a positive work environment, managing attendance tracking, and overseeing a comprehensive, impactful internship program. The HR Generalist will support key HR functions, including payroll, PIFSS registration, and continuous development initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
- New Employee Orientation & Onboarding
- Act as the welcoming face for new joiners, coordinating their onboarding process to ensure a smooth integration into DDI. This includes organizing initial setup, facilitating introductions, conducting orientation sessions, and providing a positive and supportive environment.
- Internship Program Development & Management
- Serve as the focal point for all interns, coordinating a structured and enriching internship program aligned with DDI’s strategic goals. Key initiatives include:
- Structured Learning Pathways: Develop specialized internship tracks (e.g., Research, Operations, or Healthcare) to match interns' academic focus and career aspirations.
- Project-Based Learning: Assign interns to real-world projects related to DDI’s clinical or research initiatives, with outcomes they can present at the end of the program.
- Mentorship Program: Pair each intern with a mentor, establish bi-weekly check-ins, and set clear goals for professional growth.
- Interdisciplinary Workshops: Host workshops and collaborative sessions across various departments, offering insights into diabetes research, public health, and healthcare innovation.
- Soft Skills & Career Development: Provide workshops on essential soft skills, CV building, interview techniques, and networking, supporting interns' career readiness.
- Research Presentation Day: Host a culminating event where interns present their work to DDI staff, encouraging feedback and recognition for their contributions.
- Community Engagement & Outreach: Involve interns in community programs, diabetes awareness events, and health campaigns, building a sense of responsibility and real-world impact.
- Technology & Innovation Training: Introduce technology-focused training modules, including data analysis and digital tools.
- Feedback & Improvement: Collect feedback from interns throughout the program via surveys or discussions to continuously enhance the experience.
- Training & Development
- Assist in coordinating internal training sessions, tracking participation, and gathering feedback. Contribute to the planning and execution of staff development workshops and courses.
- Payroll & PIFSS Registration
- Manage payroll processes in coordination with the Finance team, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements and adjustments. Handle Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) registration and updates for all eligible employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Attendance Tracking
- Monitor and track employee attendance and leave records, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with company policies. Identify trends or patterns and provide reports to management as needed.
- Confidentiality & Compliance
- Handle sensitive personnel information with confidentiality and maintain compliance with DDI’s HR policies and best practices.
- Additional HR Support
- Provide support to the HR team as required, including special projects and any other initiatives needed by the HR Manager.

Education
Bachelor's degree and relevant HR certifications.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of HR experience>
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with new hires, interns, and cross-functional teams.
- Analytical skills to interpret HR data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency with Power BI and Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Team collaboration skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
