Procurement Officer

We are seeking a Procurement Officer who will responsible for managing the purchasing and sourcing of goods and services required by the organization. The role involves negotiating with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness, maintaining inventory levels, and adhering to company policies and regulations to meet organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Identify reliable suppliers and vendors for goods and services.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotes, bids, and proposals to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable agreements.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to assess procurement needs.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of inventory.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.
  • Resolve any supplier-related issues promptly.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost analyses, and savings.

Cost Management:

  • Monitor and control procurement budgets.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all procured goods and services meet the required quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections and liaise with relevant departments for quality control.

Vendor Selection and Evaluation:

  • Perform market research to identify potential vendors.
  • Assess vendor qualifications and conduct due diligence.
  • Facilitate the vendor onboarding process.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
  • Implement contingency plans for procurement challenges.


Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of market research and sourcing techniques.
  • Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations.
