Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our organization and end-users. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and IT equipment.
- Respond promptly to service desk tickets, emails, or phone inquiries to resolve technical problems.
- Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Assist with system upgrades, updates, and patches to ensure compliance and stability.
- Set up and support end-user devices such as laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
- Document issues, solutions, and standard operating procedures to build a knowledge base.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to IT processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with IT service management tools and ticketing systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise IT tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Basic scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Knowledge of IT security practices and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
