As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of automated systems and equipment used in our 3D printing operations. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to improve the efficiency, reliability, and quality of our 3D printing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- *Design and Development:* Develop and design mechatronic systems that enhance the performance of 3D printers, including automation systems, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- *System Integration:* Integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components to create cohesive and functional automated systems.
- *Troubleshooting and Maintenance:* Diagnose and resolve issues with 3D printing machines, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- *Process Optimization:* Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- *Prototyping:* Design and prototype custom tools, fixtures, and components to improve the capabilities of 3D printing operations.
- *Collaboration:* Work closely with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and production teams to ensure seamless operation and integration of systems.
- *Documentation:* Create and maintain detailed documentation of designs, procedures, and maintenance logs.
- *Quality Control:* Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the reliability and precision of printed parts.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all systems and processes comply with safety regulations and best practices.
Skills
Qualifications:
- *Education:* Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- *Experience:* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mechatronics, automation, or a related field. Experience in 3D printing or additive manufacturing is highly desirable.
- *Technical Skills:*
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Experience with PLC programming, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of robotics, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- Familiarity with 3D printing technologies, materials, and processes.
- *Problem-Solving:* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- *Communication:* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- *Attention to Detail:* High level of attention to detail, especially in designing and implementing precise and reliable systems.
