Responsibilities
• Liaise with Company, external engineers and supervisors, GIS and drawing office teams for interpretation of scope of work.
• Co-ordinate activities of external and Company’s contractors.
• Liaises with other team members within the Contract to ensure efficient utilization of manpower and avoiding duplication of efforts.
Requirements
• Minimum 8 years practical experience preferably in the oil and gas industries as Electrical Engineer.
• Experienced in electrical power generation, transmission and distribution infrastructure, and safe Engineering practice.
• Experienced in drive systems such as DC drive, Direct On Line (DOL), and Variable Speed Drives (VSD).
• Basic understanding of programme scheduling techniques
• Experienced in the use of computers, MS Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD Software.
• Responsible for providing design (including new technical innovations), installation and maintenance solutions for the electrical supply & distribution to water, gas, oil, chemical and waste systems, machinery & processes.
• Provide assistance, recommend & implement improvements to design for Pre-FEED project phases.
• Provide support with all Project & In-House design reviews, procurement activities, evaluation of vendor submittals & commissioning requirements.
• Develop & maintain overall performance of engineering activities for assigned projects, including schedule and manhour estimates.
• Prepare & review SLD & Load List, Elect and Mech. Specs & Datasheets, Concession Requests (CR), Technical Reports, etc.
• Perform calculations and develop designs for Power Networks (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, etc.), Generators, Motors, VSDs, TRs, Electrical Cables, UPS & DC Chargers, Lighting, Lightning, Earthing, Protection System, etc.
• Develop & review technical documentation for electrical supply & distribution system, requisitions and perform technical evaluations.
• Review electrical systems ensuring minimal cost and simplification in compliance with the required performance and with Client & International Standards.
• Review & recommend Materials of Construction for Electrical Components.
• Attend and perform Factory Acceptance (FAT) & Site Acceptance (SAT) Tests.
Education
• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
Skills
• Advanced level understanding and involvement in all project phases (Concept, Feasibility, FEED, Execution & Commissioning)
• Advanced level understanding of electrical supply & distribution systems for preparation, review and approval of plot plans, GA drawings, datasheets, specifications, calculations, SLD, etc.
• Advanced level of hands-on experience with relevant proprietary & current design software (i.e. ETAP).
• Shall be able to read, write and speak English language freely.
