We are hiring a Unit Sales Manager for our Non-Life department in our Kuwait branch
The Unit Manager for the Direct Sales Force is responsible for building, maintaining and growing the DSF distribution channel, will handle recruitment, training, development and monitoring of the DSF team to be in line with the annual strategy and business plan, and must ensure achievement of the DSF set activities and sales targets as per company annual budget.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within his team.
- Design policies & procedures when necessary that align with overall strategy.
- Follow-up on all services(i.e. claims, customer service, complaints) to ensure an efficient service within the timeframe set by insurance authorities.
- Adopt and adapt the implementation of the DSF Policy & Procedure and suggest improvements to the DSF channel.
- Monitor the Sales Department’s performance against pre-set KPI’s in line with DSF Strategy and recommend corrective actions accordingly in order to reach set annual sales targets
- Recruit the DSF team, as per company recruitment plan and remuneration matrix, then set their objectives, monitor their performance and create incentive plans accordingly
- Determine the training needs of the sales agents and ensure that the training is carried out as per DSF Policies & Procedures
- Provide coaching in field visits to ensure they manage, maintain and build solid relationships with their clients.
- Prepare a yearly business plan with set targets & strategies for the DSF channel and its members.
- Implement innovative methods, after evaluating market trends, to increase clients’ sales, expand market's reach and promote business in the region, complying to required standards, group regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Evaluate market trends, gather competitive information, and try to customize or implement in the current sales team strategies.
- Conduct meetings with key customers to ensure strong relationships using the correct tools.
- Compile and analyze sales figures and prepare on time management reports.
- Oversee Premium collection in coordination with the Accounting/Collection Unit and in line with the company policy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing or related field.
- CII Diploma / certificate is a plus
- MBA is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Insurance of which the last 3 years in a similar managerial position in Kuwait
- Have an existing portfolio showcasing past sales achievements and meeting sales quotas
- Has knowledge of local laws and practices
