OBJECTIVE
This role individually contributes by doing assigned work to meet set short term objectives & goals on trade execution that will lead to customer, principal and division satisfaction. Incumbent to ensure proper and efficient execution of his tasks in line with store and company policies and guidelines; in such a manner as to ensure the availability of the products, do product assortments, and monitor and maintain freshness and quality of products on display to meet food standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishing professional first-level relationship by effectively interacting and assisting with customers' requests and inquiries and that of products suppliers.
- Able to answer politely and guide basic customer/supplier products-related questions within prescribed store (response) guidelines.
- Ensures customers & suppliers are consistently satisfied with services by pro-actively answering & assisting customer's product-related queries; follow-up with suppliers for the delivery schedule of goods ordered.
- Gathers and do simple analysis of physical condition & expiry of goods/products delivered to provide information to next level management towards making short term to medium term operational decisions of a functional/business unit (i.e. evaluating suppliers' performance and adherence to quality of goods delivered).
- Identifies merchandising processes & improvement opportunities and provides information to next level in order to facilitate change or improvements which will directly impact and improve the quality of available product-range on display and/or increases sales.
- Uses visual creativity in arranging displays for the convenience of customers and to ensure faster product off-take from shelves.
- Check the product merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed.
- Report any merchandise discrepancies, disposals based on inventory, profit and loss to the department head
- Cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and missing labels.
- Closely monitoring expiry products displayed and in warehouse so that the older products can be replaced with new ones.
- Takes inventory and identifies reorder needs for approval from Supervisor.
- During delivery ensure practice of First in First out (FIFO) upon putting products on display.
- Ensure equipment's are cleaned and maintained in good condition.
- Consistent in quality checks through the day, on product freshness, and stock refilling.
- Be able to identify sensitive products and quality assurance at all times.
- Assists and suggest to Supervisor depleted stocks for re-ordering based on the movement in the stock shelves.
- Ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods
- Assist customers in finding requested items or any concern related to pricing.
- He has to keep the aisles clean and organized for the customers to easily find what they are looking for.
- Ensure safety rules, production and sanitation standards are met.
- Actively/assertively contribute input towards the short and medium term goals for the section in maximizing sales and reducing cost during team meetings.
Skills
- At least High School graduate with 1 year relevant experience / college-level preferable.
- Have an effective communication and customer-service level skills.
- Language Speaking: (good command in English; French and Basic Arabic an added advantage
- GCC experience in similar industry is highly desirable.
- Be able to deliver quality service/assistance to customers.
- Honest, pro-active, dedicated and committed.
- Excellent eye-for-detail, organized, good numeric skill.
- Able to work on fast paced working environment.
- Physically fit to do manual labour/heavy lifting (approx. 1kilo - 15 kilos).
