Role
As HR Specialist, Employee Relations, you will assist in the implementation of HR programs, executing people initiatives, providing internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. This role requires a deep understanding of employment law, strong communication and mediation skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality in handling sensitive issues.
Responsibilities:
- Employee Engagement: Cultivating and developing initiatives and programs that reflect a positive workplace and employee satisfaction
- Grievance Handling: Addressing grievances and complaints, resolving workplace conflicts, disputes between employees; ensuring a fair and consistent approach
- Progressive Discipline: Leading investigations into employee misconduct or policy violations and administering appropriate counseling and disciplinary actions
- Assisting during organizational changes like restructuring, mergers, or downsizing
- Overseeing procedures that help maintain standards at company accommodations
- Contributing to the development of HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance with local labor laws, international standards, and DSV best practices
- Guiding managers and employees in understanding company policies, procedures, and employment laws
- Conducting training/awareness programs
- Assisting in new hire orientation
- Analyzing employee relations data to identify trends and suggest proactive strategies for improvement
- Preparing reports and documentation ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Feedback Mechanisms: Implementing surveys or other tools to gather employee feedback and analyze findings to propose improvements
- Administer exit procedures in coordination with POCs from various departments (asset clearance, exit interview, residency cancellation, payment issuance, etc.)
- Any ad hoc duties assigned by the line manager from time to time to meet business exigencies
Skills
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Must have at least 3-5 years of human resource experience, and preferably bilingual
