Database Administrator

  • Perform operational DBA duties, including installation, database upgrades, patching, environment cloning, implementing backup/recovery and monitoring procedures, capacity planning, and performance tuning and site failover
  • Design, architect, build SQL Server & Oracle platforms determining business requirements to planning and deploying test and production systems.
  • Interface with application development teams to resolve problems with application/database systems.
  • Manage multiple applications or service areas and projects simultaneously to ensure on- timeresponse, quality delivery and resolutions.
  • Support continues improvement through optimizations and automation of the systems and processes for existing and new database services.
  • Set up and maintain Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Encryption


Requirements: -


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience engineering and supporting enterprise databases
  • Significant knowledge of SQL Server on-premises and Azure SQL services
  • Good working knowledge with Oracle database technology on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Good understanding of Oracle backup and recovery RMAN/Data pump
  • Good working knowledge of High Availability technologies i.e., SQL Failover Clusters & Availability Groups
  • Strong hands-on experience administering large, high volume 24/7 SQL and Oracle and managing databases in complex enterprise environments, with business application and third-party products, solutions, and technologies:

- Experience with Windows Clustering

- Experience working with SaaS or web development

- Hands-on DevOps experience

- Experience with SQL Server database experience (Installation and configuration)
