Job Title: Senior Manager/Director – Tax Department

Our client is a leading top-three audit, tax, and consulting firm in Kuwait and a member firm of a global network of independent member firms operating in more than 156 countries. We are assisting them with their hiring in line with their current expansion.

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager/Director will be a pivotal member of our client’s Tax Department, bringing extensive expertise in direct tax. This role involves managing complex tax consulting projects, fostering client relationships, and leading business development efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in direct tax, with a particular focus on corporate and international tax.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of the evolving tax landscape.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients and tax authorities.
• Proactively develop new business opportunities to secure and expand client engagements.
• Oversee the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to junior team members to support their development.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at developing innovative tax solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA) are a plus.
• Strong technical expertise in direct tax, with a focus on corporate and international tax.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proven experience in business development and securing new work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Good understanding of Pillar Two rules and prior experience in transfer pricing and CbCR is highly desirable.
