DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes & Google Cloud Platform)

The Need

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with mandatory experience in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure, automating workflows, and optimizing deployments. You will also play a key role in transforming our monolithic architecture into microservices.

Key Responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters specifically on GKE

•⁠ ⁠Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and monitoring

•⁠ ⁠Automate infrastructure and application management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform

•⁠ ⁠Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of cloud-based systems on GCP

•⁠ ⁠Ensure system security, availability, and resilience

•⁠ ⁠Work in a DevOps environment using tools and technologies such as ELK, Docker, Kubernetes, Change Data Capture (Debezium), Git, TFS, and Jenkins

•⁠ ⁠Automate DevOps pipelines using PowerShell scripts, Ansible, and Azure DevOps

•⁠ ⁠Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes

•⁠ ⁠Assist in converting monolithic applications into microservices architecture

Requirements

•⁠ ⁠Proven experience with GKE and Kubernetes cluster management

•⁠ ⁠Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services

•⁠ ⁠Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)

•⁠ ⁠Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)

•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)

•⁠ ⁠Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)

•⁠ ⁠Experience with ELK stack, Docker, Debezium, and version control systems like Git and TFS

Preferred Qualifications

•⁠ ⁠GCP certification

•⁠ ⁠Experience with GKE Autopilot

•⁠ ⁠Knowledge of microservices architecture

•⁠ ⁠Familiarity with Azure DevOps
