Overview
This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP
Under supervision of the Service Support Manager, the Marketing & Media Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the day to day operations, future planning, and program development of the MWR Marketing & Media operation.
Responsibilities

- Works in close coordination with the Information Management department, other supervisors, Leads, and appropriate external agencies to create a comprehensive and professional Marketing & Media product for the community.
- Determines marketing techniques and develops strategies to increase efficiency and bolster participation levels of MWR events activities.
- Develops and administers periodic/needs assessment surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, analyzes data and provides results to managers.
- Manages media support requests, prioritizing work load and staffing assignments, determines appropriate usage of resources to satisfy PWS requirements and command expectations.
- Manages graphic design/marketing distribution/media production projects, schedules work and prioritizes assignments.
- Provides program oversight for all aspects of marketing and media. Receives marketing requests for MWR manager(s), supervisors, and coordinators, prioritizes work requirements, and assigns work based on deadlines and contract PWS requirements.
- Develops and publishes MWR brochures, newsletters, and print media. Reviews, edits, and corrects visual information products prior to community distribution.
- Trains staff in graphic design, visual display concepts, marketing distribution efforts, surveys, art displays and other marketing requirements.
- Prepares work plans, programming templates, curriculum for use by facility and program staff.
- Reviews program plans and reports; provides program management assistance.
- Responsible for planning, developing, directing, and coordinating logistical support for multiple, simultaneous, program level activities.
- Interacts with the military, and other agency officials, both over the telephone and in person, in a professional and tactful manner.
- Handles confidential matters (personnel actions, management reports, etc.) in accordance with policies.
- Provides assistance, direction, and information to employees and grantees as required.
- Supports the achievement of metrics, whether metrics are directly or indirectly affected by this position’s work activities.
- Tracks and maintains information with Department Managers to ensure all daily, weekly, monthly slide, spreadsheets, and reports are maintained and produced in a timely manner while focusing on quality
- Works to achieve goals and contractual commitments.
- Manage and maintain through periodic maintenance, administrative records and submit program status reports IAW established project operating procedures (POP), standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions (WI) and the contract.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain host country driver’s license.
- Experience:
- Progressively responsible work experience in corporate or community recreational marketing arena that provided the applicant knowledge of marketing principles, graphic design, publicity distribution and media production.
- The work experience must also demonstrate the knowledge and ability to provide technical recommendations regarding equipment purchasing and resource allocation.
- Three to six years experience with at least two years in a similar supervisory role.
- Must exhibit strong organization and communication skills. Must be a U.S. Citizen, capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal and have a customer service background
- Skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills; be highly skilled in written and verbal communications and able to deal tactfully and effectively with employees in all levels of the organization.
- Must be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite products, Microsoft Office, and other software as required, and be able to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, supervision, guidance, and direction to a multinational team in support of the MWR mission.
- Working Conditions:
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
- Physical Requirements:
- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
