We are looking for an Account Executive who will be the main point of contact for Key strategic accounts. The role is responsible for executing the strategic key accounts distribution and financial plans and growing the brand's market share by effectively managing existing accounts to increase the brand's visibility and achieving the revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Financial Planning
- Proactively contributes to executing the overall sales strategy, plans, and departmental budgets.
- Together with the Senior Key Account Manager, prepare and submit sale plans for the assigned countries and sales progress reports monthly.
- Achieve sales target allocation and manage sales progress.
- Monitor Sales KPIs and initiate remedial actions in case of a shortfall between actual and expected performance.
- Manage inventory, stock turnover, liquidation stock and stock movement.
- Review and validate sales results against agreed-upon targets and coordinate with the Finance Department for incentive payouts to wholesale accounts.
- Follow up with the Finance team and ensure the retailers’ receivables do not exceed the approved credit limit. Ensure the payments are settled by the retailer as per the agreed credit terms.
Business Development
- Maintain close collaboration with the retailers to improve the brand sales performance, elevation of the brand and increase footprint.
- Visit stores and meet Key Accounts regularly to understand key brand issues —gather information on competitive practices, product availability or replenishment challenges, or other relevant data that may impact business performance.
- Prepare and present business proposals to prospective clients.
- Create dedicated Brand areas within the stores to ensure the brand is perceived as the most premium Sportwear brand in the region
- Ensure distribution agreements with retailers are executed on time.
General Management
- Liaise with the merchandising and marketing team regarding product launches, marketing campaigns, forthcoming offerings and events.
- Conduct periodic meetings with the VM team to update them on the guidelines and plans received from the brand team for improving brand visibility with retailers.
- Initiate training for the retail team when necessary and conduct monthly sales meetings/briefings for all accounts.
- Coordinates with Logistics Department to track orders and ensure the orders are delivered on time to designated accounts.
Business Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze market and business data (sell-in and sell-out progress, sell-through, discount, markdown and return progress, inventory level, gross margin etc ) and produce actionable insights.
- Support the Market Place and insights manager by providing market analysis and business data.
- Forecast (volume and spend) for assigned accounts and review the budget, analyze sales reports and liaise with marketing and merchandising teams to maximize stock potential.
Team Management
- Based on budget, prepares the sellout targets for the team and seeks management approvals
- Communicate and discuss the function’s guidelines and procedures with key account executives to ensure responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities are defined and understood.
- Provide guidance, support, and leadership to key account executives to ensure an effective and efficient workflow.
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and manage performance issues.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have:
- 8-10 years job related experience and experience with Key accounts (ideally in the Sportswear industry) is a must.
- Diploma or Certificate with a Business or Marketing focus.
- Strong negotiation and strategic communication skills.
