Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Adjunct Professor with expertise in GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Business and Economic Strategies to join our Executive Education program. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique economic landscape, business practices, and strategic challenges specific to the GCC region. This role is essential for preparing senior executives and professionals to navigate and thrive in the dynamic business environment of the GCC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and continuously refine course materials that cover the critical aspects of GCC economic strategies, business practices, regional trade, and economic development. The curriculum should be comprehensive, practical, and tailored to the specific needs and challenges of businesses operating in the GCC region.
- Course Delivery: Lead interactive and engaging sessions that equip senior executives and professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the GCC business environment effectively. Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as case studies, market analysis, scenario planning, and group discussions, to ensure participants can apply what they learn directly to their professional roles.
- Strategic Insights: Provide mentorship and guidance to participants on how to develop and implement business strategies that align with the economic realities and opportunities within the GCC. Support participants in understanding the cultural, political, and economic nuances that influence business success in the region.
- Assessment & Feedback: Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate participant performance, including assignments, projects, market analyses, and presentations. Offer comprehensive feedback that helps participants refine their strategies and deepen their understanding of the GCC business environment.
- Regional Expertise: Stay informed of the latest economic trends, business developments, and policy changes within the GCC region. Continuously integrate this knowledge into the curriculum to keep the course forward-looking and relevant to current and future business challenges in the GCC. Engage with industry leaders, policymakers, and regional experts to bring real-world insights into the classroom.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Education team to ensure that the course content aligns with the broader goals of the program and meets the specific needs of professionals operating in the GCC. Participate in curriculum reviews, program development, and other collaborative initiatives to enhance the quality and impact of the Executive Education offerings.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field is required. Candidates with advanced studies or certifications in GCC economics, regional trade, or business strategy are highly desirable.
- Professional Experience: Extensive experience in GCC business strategy, economic development, or related fields, with a proven track record of working within the region. Experience in consulting, advising government entities, or working with multinational corporations in the GCC is highly desirable.
- Teaching Experience: Previous teaching experience at the university level, particularly in executive education or professional development programs, is highly desirable. Experience in developing and delivering online or hybrid courses is an advantage.
- Regional Understanding: A strong understanding of the GCC economic and business environment, including familiarity with regional trade agreements, economic policies, and cultural factors that impact business operations.
- Communication and Facilitation Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex economic and business concepts in a clear and accessible manner. Strong facilitation abilities, including the capacity to engage and inspire a diverse group of senior professionals.
- Continuous Learning: A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest advancements in GCC business and economic strategies. Active participation in regional business forums, economic councils, or professional networks is encouraged.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
