Purpose and Scope of the Job
For the purpose of Hospital’s new and existing medical devices to be connect with EMR/PACS and daily routine support to end user for medical device values/parameters/vitals automation with EMR. Also, basic support for IT Hardware and software related to medical device integration.
Main Duties And Responsibilities/Performance Standards
- To support end user for medical devices integration related issues.
- To use the new advance technology to integration new medical device for EMR/PACS.
- To assist PACS Admin for EMR/PACS & IT related work.
- Integration process requirement and documentation for new medical devices procurement with purchase department & Cerner.
- To support day to day operations for medical Equipment including EMR/PACS workflow, image archiving, automation etc.
- To ensure all medical device interface into EMR/PACS system functions 24hrs and availability to end users.
- Troubleshooting of Hardware & Software problems for EMR/PACS.
- Medical device network configuration & troubleshoot network problems if any.
- Proactive monitoring of all medical device application and services.
- To assist IT Department in new various IT project, shows the skill as and when required.
- To provide training to end-users after implemented new medical device integration project.
- Ensures all applicable department, hospital, and Accreditation guidelines are met.
- Ensures quality and patient safety practices are followed.
- Provides and promotes people centered care.
- Promotes inclusive health by providing equitable and accessible care to patients and families with special needs.
Qualifications, Competences And Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/ Biomedical Engineering Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience within a hospital, medical center and IT & Biomedical Engineering department for medical device integration.
Licensure: Not Applicable
Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English Languages
Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in Hardware & software installation, troubleshooting etc.
Performance Competencies
- Knowledge of system utility programs
- Current operating systems function and systems software
- User applications
- Ability to communicate orally with staff, clients, or the public in face-to-face one-on-one settings, or using a telephone.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships by working cooperatively with others.
- Use discretion in the handling of confidential data
Principle Working Relationships and Remarks
Other Preferences: Candidates who are available in Kuwait and possess a valid and transferable visa in Kuwait will be preferred.
