Job Summary

As a HSE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organization. You will manage the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and training programs to mitigate risks, prevent accidents, and protect the health and well-being of our employees and the environment. Your leadership, expertise, and dedication to safety will be essential in achieving our goal of zero incidents and ensuring the success of our construction projects.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field. Master's is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the environmental project or oil and gas, construction industry.
  • Must posses at least one or more internationally recognized qualifications by reputed organization i.e., IDipOSH, IDipNEBOSH, ICertOSH, CSP, ASP, CRSP, CMIOSH, GSP, CEP, CIH, QEP, CSM, Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety.
  • Must posses at least one or more HSE certifications, i.e., Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, ISO14001/OHSAS 18801 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, ASSE, Global Safety Management etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, policies, and best practices applicable to industry standards.
  • Experience in KNPC, KIPIC, KOC projects with an approval is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an integrated HSE management system in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Establish HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to identify hazards, assess risks, and control workplace hazards effectively.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of HSE programs and practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses for construction projects, facilities, and operations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and control measures to eliminate or minimize HSE risks and prevent accidents and incidents.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls and take corrective actions as necessary to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors to increase awareness and competency in HSE practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through regular communication, engagement, and recognition of HSE achievements and initiatives.
  • Lead and oversee incident investigations to determine root causes, contributing factors, and lessons learned.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified deficiencies and prevent recurrence of incidents.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate incident reports to regulatory agencies, clients, and senior management as required.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to address HSE-related issues and concerns.
  • Participate in project meetings, inspections, and audits to provide HSE expertise and support project goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote a shared commitment to HSE excellence.
