A reputable company in Kuwait is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and management reporting. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures. This is a key role within the organization and requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
2. Manage the general ledger and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis
3. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
4. Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost savings and revenue enhancement
5. Generate and distribute monthly financial reports to management and department heads
6. Assist with the coordination of the annual external audit
7. Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
8. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and employee expenses
9. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risk
10. Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
3. Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
5. Experience with financial analysis and budgeting
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
7. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
