Sr. Travel Consultant

The Sr. Travel Consultant will sell air tickets, holidays and leisure packages to the travelling public or Corporate Accounts directly through the assigned Alghanim Travel office and /or any other Alghanim Travel outlet as deputed from time to time. Sell through the web platform (B2B) and exploit social media channels to develop personal clientele and repeat business. The retail and leisure services include air, rail, sea and coach transport, car hire, hotel accommodation, package tours, Travel Insurance, visas and any other travel related services pursued by Alghanim Travel relevant to the industry.

  • Maintain personal and office appearance at the highest level

Customer Services

  • Greet customers in an interested and enthusiastic manner and answer all queries politely and effectively
  • Answer telephone calls promptly portraying a positive, confident and interested voice and manner at all times
  • Attempt to convert an inquiry into a sale
  • Carry out all follow up procedures pertaining to customer travel like reconfirmation, ticketing / hotel booking / voucher issuance within time limits etc.
  • Maintain customer contact even after completion of journey. Maintain data base of all the customers from a CRM and repeat business strategy for sustaining business
  • Keep Supervisor / Manager informed about any complaints from customers

Selling

  • Construct and quote fares / packages correctly as per industry regulations
  • Ensure correct and valid information is given to clients
  • Give priority to the sale of ATA principal’s travel products and services through the web platform
  • Attempt to obtain maximum revenue per sales transaction
  • Focus on ATA GSA Principals sales and Carriers / GDS / Suppliers having Incentive programs
  • Sell through the web platform (B2B) and exploit social media channels to develop personal clientele and repeat business
  • Ensure AI and ATA policy and procedures are adhered to at all times

     Others            

  • Be able to operate computer reservation and prioritize sales on ATA web platform, GDS, and web based Tour systems available in the office
  • Keep abreast of current fares, package rates, regulations and procedures
  • Replace staff at other locations when required
  • Keep Supervisor / Manager informed of competitive practices in the market place
  • Ensure revenue documents are issued neatly, in sequence and free of errors as per industry procedures
  • Be able to complete Daily Sales Report as and when required

Others (contd.)

  • Ensure all Policy and Procedures developed at the Agency and available on the Intranet or otherwise are strictly adhered to at all times
  • Replace staff as and when required
  • Attend staff meetings held by Supervisor / Section Head


Skills

  • Excellent communication, customer relation skills and high service standards
  • Working knowledge of spoken Arabic
  • Multi-locations assignment
  • IATA, Diploma in Travel, GDS systems, Basic Fares and ticketing knowledge, Airline courses
  • Proven work track record
  • Computer Skills
