Procurement Officer

A leading company in Kuwait is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The Procurement Officer will play a key role in optimizing costs, improving supplier relationships, and maintaining inventory levels. Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards and pricing requirements.
  2. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  3. Monitor and track supplier performance, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and develop procurement strategies.
  5. Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  6. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
  7. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
  8. Conduct regular market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  9. Assist in inventory management, including conducting regular stock checks and optimizing inventory levels.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  3. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
  6. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  9. Knowledge of local market conditions and suppliers in Kuwait.
  10. Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
