Job description

To assist in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across project sites to ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and local regulations while promoting a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Monitor work activities and verify that appropriate control measures are in place.
• Participate in risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and toolbox talks.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE records, inspections, permits, and safety documentation.
• Conduct safety inductions for new employees and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Monitor housekeeping standards and environmental compliance on site.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and workforce to improve safety awareness and performance.
• Report HSE observations, violations, and recommendations to the HSE Supervisor/Manager.

Skills

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC (preferred).
• Relevant HSE certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of HSE experience in construction, industrial, oil & gas, power, or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and safety audits.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Arabic and English communication skills preferred.
• Valid Kuwait residency and transferable visa.
