Job Summary:
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to support the successful execution of projects in accordance with approved timelines and project objectives. Duties include preparing baseline schedules, updating and tracking project progress, analyzing schedule performance, identifying potential delays, coordinating with project teams, and preparing planning reports for management. The role requires strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles, proficiency in Primavera P6, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide effective planning support throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, and corporate planning functions, preferably within construction, oil & gas, or engineering environments.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, project scheduling, baseline development, progress monitoring, forecasting, delay analysis, and planning report preparation.
- Strong knowledge of planning methodologies, project controls, and schedule performance analysis.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to support multiple projects and corporate planning activities efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain baseline schedules, work programs, and planning deliverables in accordance with project requirements and objectives.
- Monitor project progress, update schedules regularly, and ensure accurate reflection of actual project performance.
- Analyze schedule performance, identify potential delays, assess critical paths, and prepare forecasts for project completion.
- Coordinate with department managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to collect progress data and support planning activities.
- Support corporate planning initiatives by consolidating project data, preparing planning reports, and assisting in resource and workload planning.
- Prepare periodic planning reports, maintain schedule records, and provide management with accurate project status and performance updates.
